Dinner Outing

We met Aunt Kellin, Aunt Holly and Cousin Eliza at PF Changs for dinner after one of Kellins shows. Andrew did not want to look up at the camera with all the pretty girls around! We had a great time catching up with Kellin and a fantastic dinner. The original plan was to go to dinner after watching the production (West Side Story), but it was sold out before we could get tickets. Good thing it is playing another week!

Master Crawler

Andrew has gone through so many changes at the 8 month old mark. He learned to pick up and eat solid foods, is saying all kinds of things (mostly dad, da, da, da), crawling everywhere and finding anything in a room to pull up and stand next to. He is a full time job! He can find something dangerous within a matter of seconds! Forget baby proofing, we need a padded room for him to play in! Here is a video showing just how fast Andrew can get to what he wants and how easily he can crash & burn...

Not in the Mood for Playing!

Andrew is usually all smiles, but when he woke up from a nap to find a friend was here and ready to play, Andrew let us know he was NOT in the mood!

A Beautiful Day for a Picnic

It was so nice outside, that we had to take some time to get out of the house. We went to a cute park with some friends for a picnic. Andrew loved the swings again and even went down a few slides. It was a short visit, because Andrew was in need of a morning nap, but it was worth waiting on today.

Happy Birthday Grandma Debbie

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We love & miss you!

Eagle Creek Park

Today we had plans to go to the dentist and take the car to the dealership for an oil change and some work. Not a very exciting line up... The dentist appointment went great! Andrew sat on my lap and just watched most of my cleaning - he was an excellent boy and didn't make a peep the entire hour. He fell asleep on the 2 minute car ride home and slept for almost 3 hours! We called Amanda and Joshua to see if they had any plans for the day and they were up for a trip to the park! So we dropped off the van and loaded up in Amanda's car to go to Eagle Creek Park for the day - an absolutely beautiful day! We fed the boys lunch and then showed them the swings for the first time!

They were soooo cute!

We took a little trail through the woods (can't wait until the leaves bloom) and just had a wonderful afternoon. We ended it off with and ice cream stop and back to the Honda dealership.

At the end of the afternoon the boys were exhausted!

When daddy got home we had dinner then took another walk around the neighborhood. It turned out to be an excellent Monday!

Sunday Best

In our rush to make it to church on time we found that the fastest way to get Andrew downstairs is to send him over the balcony!

Totally kidding, daddy just likes to toss him high!

We had a great weekend together! Daddy just finished up with a class, so Andrew got a chance to play some on his laptop.

He helped mommy with some laundry,

went for a walk around the pond with mom & dad,

went to church on Sunday morning (and out to eat for lunch),

and got tickled by the tickle monsters.

Then he ended off the weekend with a good bath!

The Great Outdoors

We ventured out into the great outdoors today, ok it was just our backyard, but Andrew enjoyed seeing some new things...

The first thing he saw was GRASS

Very interesting...

Look Mom!

This looks good enough to...

EAT!

Next he found a brown LEAF

Maybe just a little taste... mmmm

Then the SKY... very nice.

Next he found MOMMY!

And kept the smiles coming...

My little sweetie!

It was a fun outing!

Big Boy

Andrew has been very interested in crawling and is up on all fours every chance he can get, he is getting pretty good at rolling where he wants to go too. It won't be long now...

He got a new big boy chair and really likes sitting at the table with mom and dad. He has started eating solids again and mommy even let him chew on a big apple chunk to relieve his teething pains - whoa mom! He is working on tooth number 6, four on top and two on the bottom. Check out the video below and you can see most of those little chompers!

We were trapped in the house for 5 weeks being sick, so we decided to take a day trip to Cincinnati with daddy. David has been driving over every day for week, so we decided to join him and visit our friends for a few hours. Aaron and Erin Muck are a couple we met at Purdue and now have a family of 3 (with one on the way!). Andrew and I met up with Erin and the her kids - Caleb 5, Nathan 3, and Adah 16 months old - to have lunch and play. It was a short visit, but we enjoyed getting out of the house and visiting friends. We rushed back home so Daddy could make it to the the last home Purdue game and Andrew and I just made it in time for small group. It was one busy day, but we can't complain... we are feeling better!
