Happy First Birthday!

We rushed home from the Miller Family Campout a day early to get ready for Andrew's first birthday bash! We rented out a shelter at Arbuckle Park and Mommy did some online shopping to find the perfect decorations for her special little boy. We celebrated two weeks early because Grandma and Grandpa Miller were here from Texas and Aunt Cindy's family here from Minnisota as well. Grandma and Grandpa Shaffer were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary the same weekend, so we had some out of town special guests as well (Sonny & Jan Smith from Alabama, Glen & Louis Teets Family from Colorado). Some people got away with out a picture, but we had quite a crowd! Luckily it was a nice day for the celebration. Andrew was such a good boy... he took a morning nap and made it all the way until 6pm before almost falling asleep in his cake. He took a short late afternoon nap and then the family came over to our house to open presents. We had a wonderful time visiting with the family and were pretty exhausted by the end of the day. David's cousins stayed with us over the weekend (Ken & Jenean) which we enjoyed. We were up until 3am making final preparations for the Shaffer Wedding Anniversary the next day. I really can't believe my baby boy is one! What an exciting year we have had. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy and extra sweet baby boy, I mean BIG boy!

Our friend Beth Stokes made his adorable airplane birthday cake. Andrew was pretty tired at this point, so he didn't dig in as much as we were expecting, but he did like it!

Miller Family Campout

The Miller Family got together this week for a very special gathering, OII or Operation Indiana Invasion - for (Great) Grandpa Miller's 85th birthday celebration. Grandma and Grandpa Miller were making a special visit for the campout (and Andrew's first birthday party). Andrew had a chance to get to know his grandparents better and we had a good time enjoying nature and catching up with the family. Andrew also went from a crawler to a walker this week! By the time we got home from the trip he was up and moving... no more crawling - watch out mom and dad! Hopefully I will get more pics from the whole family soon. We had an interesting Dinner Mystery that we need some photos from!

Happy Baby

Today was our 8 year wedding anniversary and we had big plans to go out for a date, but ended up staying at home with Andrew... and we had a great time! Ever since Grandpa Miller came to visit Andrew has loved playing with hats. Here he is playing peek-a-boo with his Fire Man hat! What a sweet baby boy! New things he is doing... hmmm loves to clap, is taking a few steps here and there, putting shapes in blocks and eating everything! Check out the videos below.
