Broken Tooth

Yesterday Andrew was running to the back door to meet Daddy when he got home from work. Unfortunately, he took a spill and his two front teeth hit the floor before his hands... He chipped both top first incisors :( We will be taking a trip to the pediatric dentist soon. The good news is that his tooth is not painful and he is still as cute as can be!

Last weekend we went to a great kids sale (gently used) and got tons of deals! My favorite being a huge bag of Thomas Tracks in perfect condition for $15! Not to mention really adorable Gymboree (Fire Chief shirt above) and Baby Gap clothes for $2 a piece - what a deal!

"Growing" Family

Andrew has hit another growth spurt at 21 months. Not only is he growing taller, but he is just looking and acting like a little boy. He is saying pretty much everything and has quite the imagination when playing with toys. I am growing at a pretty good rate as well! Baby Isaiah is 35 weeks now, so after 7 weeks of bed rest we are happy to have a almost full-term baby!

Is this normal?

Five days ago Andrew turned 21 months old. Lately he has been suprising us with his vocabulary (100+ words) and knowledge of things we didn't expect him to know. We were painting this morning and to my suprise Andrew pointed and said the correct colors. He occasionally will count to 3 or fill in numbers when we count up to 10. He is clearly saying big words like sausage and elevator, and is putting 2 and 3 words together to make phrases. He calls his trains by name (Thomas, Emily, Percy and Toby) and is pretty good at letting us know what he wants, when he wants it! I feel like we are having conversations these days... my baby is growing up way to fast for me!

Sick Baby

The stomach bug found its way to our house... Andrew had a good 12 hours of vomiting and a few days of some pretty nasty diarrhea. David and I suffered through the same virus a few months ago, so we were spared this time around. Andrew took it like a big boy and the only thing he was concerned about was missing a meal! I gave him cheerios, jello and sprite for a day, but by day two he was ready for anything! He was happy the whole time - slept and played like nothing was wrong, so we were thankful for that. Here he is enjoying a popsicle...

Swing Set

With Mommy on bedrest and Baby Isaiah due in the next few weeks, Daddy's honey-do-list is getting pretty long! David has done an amazing job at taking care of Andrew, household duties and keeping up with projects. One of the things on the list was building Andrews new swing set. Andrew and Grandpa Shaffer helped daddy every step of the way and after two weekends the project is nearing completion.

Easter

I decided ventrue out to church for Easter Sunday, although my bedrest orders have kept me home-bound for the last 5 weeks. Andrew sat through the entire service without any problems - thanks to the gummies, m&m's and a new train he found in his Easter basket! We had two outside Easter Egg hunt's in our backyard last week, one with small group and the other with Cousin Eliza. Andrew got pretty good and finding the eggs and popping them open to find a tasty treat!
