Trip to Scott and Jeannes

We took a weekend trip to visit David's brother and family.  We went to Bryce's football game and got to watch him kick - Andrew loved it and clapped and cheered the whole evening.  Isaiah walked in front of the bleachers smiling and being ridiculously cute - he really thought he was the star of the show!!  The next morning we went to Christina's soccer game, met the Byrum Family at a playground and celebrated Christina's 8th birthday.  We were back on the road by nap time - it was a quick visit, but we all had a wonderful time.
The "little" Cousins
Gus (Grandma Shaffer's puppy dog) enjoyed the soccer game too

We got to see a really neat passenger train - Andrew didn't like the whistle!
Happy 8th Birthday Christina!

Isaiah cleaned the garage...
While Andrew and the rest of the crew played football!
Pretty crazy that the cousins are growing up!  Our ring bearers, flower girl and junior groomsmen are going to college soon!  I am feeling old!  Now whenever we play football at home, Andrew says "I'm big guy Bryce" when he kicks the ball!

More Pictures

I really don't think these boys could get any cuter - it's a good thing, because 3 year old and 15 month old boys can be trying at times!!  We have our good days and our bad days, but thankfully after a few "bad" weeks things are improving!

Andrew  Bruce is getting SO big!  I keep thinking this growing will slow down...
Popsicle's are a favorite at our house - I especially like the Mighty Minis - they are little and melt slowly.  I do wonder why I pay a premium for a very small amount of popsicle and the answer is less mess!
Andrew has this game figured out!  I think I remember another big sibling (Holly) doing the same thing when I was a kid!
Andrew actually shares on occasion too!
Andrew has been LOVING FOOTBALL this summer!
Say "hands down" and both boys line up ready to play!  Then they run around, fall down and yell "touchdown"!
This is Andrew's "football" face, super intimidating huh!
I think Gymboree is missing out on this baby model!
He was super excited in this snap shot!
These teeth have been causing Isaiah (and Mommy) trouble these days - I don't  recall Andrew having  too many issues with teeth, but I probably need to look back at the blog to know for sure!

September Memories

We spent the evening with the Miller Family remembering Cousin Todd.  Aunt Linda is battling cancer right now, but as always is in good spirits and determine to beat the odds.  We always enjoy spending time with this group and are looking forward to seeing Aunt Linda back on the golf course soon :)

I typically am on the other side of the camera, but occasionally have daddy snap a few shots (I do want the boys to know they had Mommy when they look through their memory books!)

Sweet babies, getting bigger!
Something got the cousins giggling...
Isaiah had to get in on the action too!

It is officially fall!!  Oh, how I love packing up the summer clothes and breaking out the long sleeves!  We have been having a great time playing outside.
Look at those LONG LEGS!
I am actually enjoying having a finished deck with no furniture.  Andrew rides his tricycle and Isaiah pushes the mower, and I can actually watch from the kitchen while doing dishes - luxurious life isn't it!!
I think so!

Isaiah hasn't quite figured out my gate (bench laid down to keep him from going down the stairs), but it won't be long...
Big brother leading the way...
Then comes trouble!!
This is the reason why the bench is in place, Isaiah can climb to the top of the club house and get to the slide  really fast - he is a dare devil and usually, but not always makes it safely down the slide!

Sunny Day

The only way to get the boys together for any length of time is - Popsicles!!  So they may have one in their hand for most of my upcoming posts - until Isaiah figures out he gets the bad end of the stick, see below!  These boys are keeping me awfully busy (exhausted) these days.  I occasionally go to work to get a break and I am pretty busy at work!!  I may complain from time to time, but I wouldn't change being at home with these boys for the World.  I don't want to miss a second - they are growing up way too fast!  Andrew and Isaiah are starting to play together and I love watching them.  Isaiah still doesn't say too much, but he knows exactly whats going on and it is so cute to watch him play football, basketball, golf, even running to the freezer with open hands when it is time for a popsicle... he is just one of the guys!  What a blessing these babies are!  Some days I feel I have accomplished little (play, feed kids, clean up after kids, play, snack time, movie, lunchtime, clean kitchen for the third time, nap time, snack time, play time, dinner time, bath time, bedtime) when my wonderful husband comes home to a messy house, no dinner and tells me I have done an amazing job molding two amazing human beings.  What a man!

Daddy's Birthday

We had another busy weekend with a visit from the Miller Family, celebrating Eliza Viv's 4th Birthday and last but not least, Daddy's 34th Birthday.  Grandma Deb and Papa Tim got a lot of time on the football field (our living room floor) and basketball court (our front hallway) with the boys.  On Saturday morning we went to the splash park one last time and Papa Tim got to see just how much Isaiah LOVES water!  We took great naps (my personal favorite part of the day!) and met the Epple Family, Mema, Aunt Kat and Kay Kay downtown at the Creation Cafe for dinner.  Sunday, we celebrated Eliza's birthday with a fantastic princess party.  Andrew and Isaiah both wore crowns and Andrew insisted that he was Eliza's Prince Charming - they were super cute and I will post pics as soon as I get them from Aunt Hol.  It was warm all weekend, but on Monday a cold front gave us our first peek at fall!  Oh how we love fall... football, sweatshirts, chili, camp outs, open windows, long walks - we LOVE fall!  So on Monday morning we met Grandma and Grandpa Shaffer, The Epples and the Miller Family at Cracker Barrel for a birthday breakfast for David.  It was a perfect day for playing outside and that is exactly what we did...

Isaiah has been watching big brother and is already pretty good with a golf club

Andrew is growing into his clubs and has a knack for swinging a golf club

The Club House has been lots of fun this summer
