Miller Family Christmas

The Miller Family made the long trip from Texas to Celebrate Christmas!!  It was the Epple's turn to host this year and they did a wonderful job of making their new house festive, after being moved in for only 3 short weeks!  We still have some unpacking to do from our first house (that we lived in over 4 years ago)...  Here are some pictures to get you in the Christmas mood!

Not only did we have a wonderful place to celebrate, we had a lot of wonderful food too!!

Happy babies!

Before opening gifts Aunt Hol read the about the birth of Jesus, as we acted out the entire story.
Eliza was Mary and Andrew was Joseph

The three wise men

 and Angels...

Not shown was the narrator (Aunt Hol), the energetic donkey (me) and lowing cow (Grandma Debbie)!!

Now it was time for presents!!

Eliza with her new Sleeping Beauty figurines

Katie with her new Purdue gear -- Boiler Up!

 Evie with her new Bunny

 Isaiah and his new Monkey

David sporting his new Purdue jacket -- what a handsome guy!!

Kellin shared some crimson with us all...

Andrew's favorite gift -- a Purdue football uniform with helmet!!

We spent the rest of the day playing (and watching)  football, cooking, eating, napping and enjoying being together!!  We finished off the evening going to a Christmas Eve service and remembering the REAL reason for this season -- Baby Jesus!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Another year, another hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree!!  This year we went with a gigantic Blue Spruce and I can imagine the workers at the Christmas Tree farm laughing aloud as we pulled away... we were drawn to it by the beautiful color and delicious smell, but didn't take us long to realize why we usually buy a Douglus Fir tree!  In short, the tree had so much sap that you could see it balling up on every branch, falling into my carpet and sticking to Andrew's hair (for several weeks) -- thank goodness it was time for a haircut!  The needles were like knives and I even stopped decorating it because it was so painful.  Last, but not least, if you walked into the same room as the tree pine needles would fall off -- I wasn't sure there would be any left on the tree for Christmas!!  Although it was a pain, it was pretty and did smell nice and I am thankful for it -- and especially thankful that it's Davids job to take it down!!

First Snow

The boys were excited to get outside after the first bit of snow... but pretty disappointed after the snow disappeared after just a few hours!  I am sure we will get another chance to enjoy the snow this winter!

Texas Trip

For my birthday, we decided to take a trip to Texas to visit!  It was a long, but uneventful drive...  the boys did amazing and Mema and Mommy didn't do too bad either!!  It was nice to get one more week of nice weather before the long Indiana winter.

The boys all had fun watching Grandpa Tim drive his race car!

We went on lots of walks

Andrew and Isaiah were so cute in the wagon!

We made a few stops for football and golf practice!

Grandma had lots of time to "chase" Isaiah!

We played piano and did some singing too!

Celebrated Mommy's 31st Birthday!

Laughed with Grandpa

Chased Missy Lou

and Smiled with Aunt Kay Kay!

Andrew getting a taste of Grandmas famous guacamole!

Happy Halloween

Halloween is not my most favorite holiday, but it is fun to dress up and eat candy one day of the year!  This year I found these outfits in the basement just hours before trick or treating started, not the perfect fit, but we made it work!  I made some paper leaves for Isaiah's shoes and found some snow boots (a few sizes too small) for Andrew!  We made our way around the court and got enough candy to last us until Christmas!

The boys especially liked handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters that came to our house.

Isaiah had his first m&m today (not bad for 17 months) - needless to say, he really liked it!
