Fingers, toes and TOYS!

On Tuesday (September 16, 2008) Drew figured out he had hands and that they worked just as well as a pacifier when he wanted something to put in his mouth. I love looking in the little mirror and seeing Andrew as content as can be just sucking on his fingers. It is much easier than sticking my finger in his mouth to calm him down while driving on the interstate (probably much safer too). He also laughed for the first time on Wednesday (September 17, 2008). It seems like he is doing something new everyday. It is really amazing how they grow so quickly and are learning so much everyday.

I put a toy in Andrew's hand this morning and was suprised that he started shaking it and laughing! He quickly got it into his mouth and thought it tasted pretty good! Drew will be 11 weeks old on Thursday - mommy thinks he is quite advanced for his age! He is smiling and giggling more and more. He has a fussy time at night, usually between 6 - 8 PM. You can tell that his tummy is churning and it doesn't feel very good... He didn't sleep very well last night and has been pretty cranky today, but after a good filling of the diaper he is usually back to his happy self. I am hoping the intestines get themselves worked out in the next few weeks. Mylicon Drops don't seem to touch his gas pains, but I will keep trying! We will see what Dr. McIntire says tomorrow.
