To update you on the doctor visit - Andrew weighed 14lbs and was 25 inches long. He is now in the 85th percentile for height and weight, but doing just fine. He was perfect for the doctor exam and even laughed during the check-up. I brought some pumped breast milk to bottle feed during the shots, which worked like a charm. He cried a little, but then just ate and fell right to sleep. We ended up having a nice dinner at Texas Road House and going to Bible study - Andrew slept the entire night! I did take his temp several times and prophylactically dosed him with Tylenol, but we didn't have any problems. On Wednesday, Grandma Shaffer came to watch Drew for the first time while I went to an office meeting for a few hours. Drew did great and Grandma Shaffer had a good time bonding with her grandson. Thursday morning was baby yoga (right in the middle of nap time) so it was yet again another struggle for Drew. I pay good money to feed, change and rock Drew in the company of other mommies doing yoga! The instructor said we could come to a few extra classes because of the time we missed.
Today we had a busy day... First, we went to Red Robin with daddy for lunch. Drew smiled at his daddy when we picked him up from work, then fell asleep right when our food came. He woke up to say bye-bye to dad, rode in the sling around Target and fell asleep on the ride to Holly's (couldn't ask for a nicer baby!). We had a great day at Aunt Holly's and went for a stroll, what a beautiful fall Indiana day! Then our friend Katie Strange came by to visit, Drew thought she was pretty neat. We worked hard to get a picture with Eliza and Drew, but still is a challenge! Everyday Drew is changing and even started grabbing for toys today! We had a wonderful week and are looking forward to spending the weekend with daddy.
