Election Day 2008

David had election day off, so we had a lazy morning and spent time together as a family. We got Andrew dressed up in the extremely cute voting outfit that Grandma Miller purchased for a ridiculously large amount of money at the baby boutique and were off to vote, with our candidate choice plastered all over Drew - GO McCain/Palin! We waited in an hour long line (Andrew did wonderful, he loves watching all the people) and when we got to the voting register were asked to remove his stickers (who knew it was against the law to wear your presidential choice on your shirt?). We hoped that Andrews display would sway a few votes, but unfortunately not enough - Indiana was won by Obama, as was the presidency. I had to work in the afternoon (2 - 7), so daddy got some special time with Andrew. I enjoyed being back in the clinic and daddy loves watching his son. He got the guitar out, which put Andrew right to sleep. We went to Steak & Shake for dinner (no milk shake for me, my baby boy has a sensitive stomach), gave Andrew a bath and went to bed. It was a long day, we were all tired - Andrew slept from 9:30 - 3:30 (co-sleeper), 3:45 - 5:30 (with mommy & daddy), and 5:45 - 7:45 (co-sleeper). Drew is so cute when I put him in the co-sleeper at night, he scratches the side with his fingers until he falls asleep. What a big boy! What a big day, a day we will always remember...
